What is the difference between the "Oak" and the "All Black" models?
The difference is purely aesthetic and material at the base level. The Oak model has a solid wood base for a Scandinavian look, while the All Black model has a black enameled cast iron base, which is heavier and has a more industrial/modern look. Heating performance is identical.
Does the glass turn black due to the flame?
No, thanks to the use of high-quality Höfats liquid bioethanol, combustion does not produce soot. If a slight deposit appears over time, the borosilicate glass is very easy to clean with a soft cloth and a little soapy water (once cooled).
Can the Spin Air 1200 be left outside all year round?
The All Black model is very durable thanks to its enameled cast iron base. However, to preserve the quality of the glass and prevent water from stagnating in the burner, it is recommended to bring it inside or cover it in case of bad weather or during winter.
Does the fire pit's body get hot?
Yes, the glass cylinder becomes very hot during use (it is what radiates the heat). It should never be touched when lit. The cast iron base remains stable and cooler, but the object should be handled with care and only when it is off and cooled.
